South Cumbria Rivers Trust is a registered charity (no. 1114682) whose purpose is to protect, conserve and rehabilitate the aquatic environments of South Cumbria. The main rivers in our area are the Kent, Leven, Bela, Crake and Duddon. There are many smaller rivers. In addition we have some significant still waters in our area including Windermere, Coniston, Grasmere, Rydal, and Esthwaite.
We are always on the look out for volunteers to help us carry out projects. There is plenty to do, and volunteers have so far been involved in a number of activities including electrofishing, balsam bashing, invertebrate sampling and tree planting. We need help inside as well, so office skills, fundraising experience or simply enthusiasm are always welcome!  For more information,  to indicate interest in helping, or if you have any comments please contact Ben Lamb.  (01539) 816311
