South Cumbria Rivers Trust covers all the rivers of South Cumbria. It was formed over three years ago and has made rapid progress since then. Its mission is to protect, conserve and restore the natural heritage of lakes, tarns,  rivers, becks and estuaries in South Cumbria.
The Trust is now looking to appoint a permanent, full time Trust Manager following the relocation of the previous manager.
Reporting to the Vice-chairman of the Trustees you will be responsible for ensuring that the Trust’s objectives are achieved through the delivery of a wide range of projects in partnership with stakeholders, other conservation bodies and catchment communities.
You will be a graduate (or equivalent) in a scientific or environmental discipline with a proven record in environmental management. You will need to possess a clean UK/European driving licence and be physically fit. You will be asked to demonstrate:
- Excellent people and communication skills
- A successful project management history
- Knowledge of river catchment and issues related to them using an ecosystem    approach
- An innovative and successful approach to fundraising
