SCRT is once again offering this 3 day education project to local primary schools during the summer term. This year we are pleased to welcome local artist Angie Mitchell to the team, who will work with ecology tutor Philippa McMurdo to deliver the art component of this innovative project. Angie is well known in the region; a member of Kendal Green Door Studios, a freelance ceramic artist and exhibitor and a regular visitor to Cumbrian schools where she has inspired children to produce some memorable creative work.
Philippa and Angie will be working with 6 primary schools this year representing the 5 catchment areas, they are:
- Levens Primary, River Kent at Levens Park
- Selside Primary, Tributary of River Mint at Selside
- Coniston Primary, Yewdale Beck
- Beetham Primary, River Bela at Dallam Tower
- Thwaites Primary, Black Beck, tributary of River Duddon
- Goodly Dale, Windermere, Mill Beck
